We're excited to share that last week at Microsoft Build we announced the general availability of Visual Studio for Mac, major updates to Visual Studio Mobile Center (Preview), and Xamarin Live Player, a live coding environment to make development and debugging faster.
Visual Studio for Mac Now Generally Available
Visual Studio for Mac is a full-featured IDE built natively for the Mac to help you develop, debug, and test anything from mobile and web apps to games. Teams can share code seamlessly across platforms from an IDE natively designed to feel intuitive for any Mac user. Get Started with Xamarin Faster with the Xamarin Live Player
Xamarin Live Player enables any developer to get started with Android and iOS development in minutes. Simply pair your device with Visual Studio by scanning a QR code, hit debug, and the application is deployed to the app. Download the apps to get started or to learn more you can check out the blog post and read through our FAQ.
Exciting Updates to Visual Studio Mobile Center
Introduced last November, Visual Studio Mobile Center (Preview) is a set of cloud services for building and managing mobile apps targeting iOS and Android, including apps written in Swift, Objective-C, Java, Xamarin, and React Native. We announced several new features at Build, which you can learn all about on the Visual Studio blog before getting started with Mobile Center here.
