New features in PL/SQL Developer 8.0

Main new features in 8.0 include:

  • A new DBMS Scheduler to for dbms_scheduler support.
  • A new File Browser for quick and easy file access.
  • New Compiler Options to support conditional compilation, warnings, and substitution variables, and more.
  • PL/SQL Editor enhancements like declaration popups, full-screen editing, smart indent, and find in comments/strings.
  • Object Browser enhancements like a user filter, search text, and scheduler objects.
  • A new and extended Docking Interface.
  • Table Definition support for external tables, subpartitions, and object columns for indexes and constraints.
  • Diagram Window enhancements like zooming, automatic dependency links, notes, and new line end types.
  • Project enhancements like item groups, to-do items, and find in project.

Before you decide if you want to upgrade to 8.0, you can check out the 30 day trial version. It is available on the download page on our web site.

How to upgrade?

You are receiving this e-mail because you either do not have an Annual Service contract, or because your current Annual Service Contract has expired. To upgrade your current license to 8.0 you can purchase an Annual Service Contract, which entitles you to receive upgrades, updates, and technical support for the period of 1 year. The price depends on the number of users of your current license:
