Editor's Note
A few months ago I wrote to you about why teams succeed. I talked about the "high bandwidth" team that stressed communication and collaboration. While I believe that communication and collaboration are the keys to success of any team, I always felt that there was another important component to the equation. I visited a large retail global customer in Hong Kong today. They are working on a large application for their product development group using Silverlight 4.0 and have teams in the United States, India, and Hong Kong. We were talking first about their use of Telerik tools and then the conversation moved on to teams and processes. They are having success and are using the agile methodology Kanban. Three Awards for Telerik: Microsoft Partner of the Year, Best Of TechEd, CodeProjectYears of hard work and your trust have been recognized in an avalanche of major industry awards in June.
First, Telerik received The Code Project's Members' Choice Awards for the RadControls for Silverlight suite. The Code Project is one of the biggest online developer community portals, and this award represents a huge vote of confidence for the direction and leadership Telerik has in Silverlight control world.
Then it got better. At Tech-Ed in New Orleans, Telerik received "The Best of TechEd Award in Components and Middleware." This award is a huge recognition of the hard work that has gone into perfecting all of Telerik suites and a statement to value the Telerik Ultimate Collection represents.
Finally, the cherry on top. Microsoft awarded Telerik a "Partner of the Year in Central and Eastern Europe" for the advances we have made with Sitefinity - our Content Management Solution.

Minifying RadControls for Silverlight is EasyThe size of RadControls for Silverlight assemblies and in turn the size of your XAP file is no longer an issue thanks to a brand new tool - the Telerik Assembly Minifier.
Telerik Assembly Minifier allows you to easily select controls from Telerik Silverlight assemblies and produce optimized assemblies that can be less than half the original size. The new assemblies contain only the selected controls and the resources used by them. Using the Assembly Minifier Tool, you can keep the downloaded size of your application to the bare minimum, which means your users will enjoy faster loading Silverlight applications. Currently, the Minifier is in beta and supports only minifying Telerik RadControls for Silverlight.
