Introducing the DevExpress eXpress Presentation Framework
Some big news from our Silverlight and WPF teams this week. In a joint effort, that began way back with DXperience v2009 vol 1, our developers have completed a merge that sees our Silverlight and WPF codebases become one ? the eXpress Presentation Framework.
This foundation is great news for developers working with these new platforms. It means that our product teams will be able to deliver you more controls, even more quickly, by utilising a common codebase upon which they will build cross-platform controls.
We¡¯re excited. Are you?

DevExpress Channel: XPO CodeRush Plug-In
DX Squad member, Michael Proctor, was inspired by Oliver Sturm¡¯s plug-in, XPOFieldSync. Michael wanted to build on Oliver¡¯s idea and create a plug-in that would provide a mechanism to specify XPO Simplified Criteria Syntax in a strongly typed manner.
And so XPO_EasyFields was born.
Check out this short screencast from Michael and Mehul and tell us what you think of the plug-in. Will it help you?
DevExpress Technology Helps Fight Stock Exchange Fraud
Market abuse is a consistent threat to the financial markets and technology is becoming a crucial mainstay in the ability to maintain the integrity of the huge bodies of information that are generated.
The Republic of Srpska Securities Commission was tasked with developing a system to cover four main areas of data administration: data entry, data gathering, data surveillance and data analysis. On top of this, their development team had the pressure of responding to European Union Market Abuse Directives.
Extensive integration of the DevExpress UI controls helped them to rapidly develop a large number of applications and implement almost 50% of their main processes into an integrated information system. All of this in just a third of their planned timeframe.
