New Product: Data Matrix C .H Header File

IDAutomation now offers a C header file for the Data Matrix ECC200 symbology which meets the ISO/IEC 16022 specification. The file is provided, upon request, with the purchase of any Developers License for the Data Matrix Font & Encoder Advantage Package and a signed Source Code Agreement.

This header file uses the C libraries to return an encoded string that can be used with the IDAutomationDMatrix. Both the method declaration and implementation are in the header file, so no .cpp file is necessary. Include the header file in the source code and it is ready to use. The header file contains no OS specific code and has been QA tested with G on Ubuntu Linux and Visual Studio versions 6, 2003 and 2005.

Product Update: Java Barcode Package

New Product Release: GS1 DataBar Java Package:

  • The new DataBar Java component enables Java developers to create DataBar compliant images within their Java application, applet, servlet, bean box, and more. Includes DataBar Omni-directional, DataBar Truncated, Stacked, Stacked Omni-directional, Limited, Expanded, Expanded Stacked, PDF417, MicroPDF417, Composite, UPC/EAN, GS1-128 and Code 128.

Updates to the Linear Java Package:

  • Improved FNC1 functionality - With apply tilde set to true, the parentheses in the DataToEncode variable will be encoded as FNC1 characters.
  • Manual start character selection - The start character for code 128 can now be manually selected in auto mode. By including the start character as the first digit in DataToEncode will specify which character set to start in, for example DataToEncode = ÌABCD will encode the data in set B. ApplyTilde functionality can also be used to achieve the same result, DataToEncode = ~204ABCD.

Updates to the 2D Java Package:

  • The QR-Code symbology is now included, with support for Byte, Numeric, and Alpha-numeric encoding modes.
A fully functional evaluation copy of any of the Java Barcode Package may be downloaded from:
