What an interesting year it’s been. And what an exciting year 2009 is going to be! We’ve been finalizing our 2009 Product Release Roadmap and we’d like to share some highlights with you below.

FarPoint 2009 Product Roadmap:

Spread 8 COM
Spread 8 COM will see an option to import and export Excel 2007 files in the first quarter. This will be free for all existing developer licensees. 
Spread for Windows Forms 5
Spread for Windows Forms will get a boost to version 5 and what a boost it will be. As well as enhancements to the current feature set you’ll see a full-featured Charting component and a Pivot Table component as well. We can’t wait to show them to you. Until then, here's a screen shot to whet your appetite. 

 
Spread for ASP.NET 5
Spread for ASP.NET will also get a boost to version 5. It too will have the Charting component added to it’s feature set and you’ll see enhanced performance, improved support for browsers and additions to the Dynamic Data support that's about to be included in the current release. 
FarPoint Chart
You will see our new Chart component with 27 chart types coming out that will tightly integrate with Spread for Windows Forms, Spread for ASP.NET, Spread for Silverlight and Spread for WPF. 

 
Input for ASP.NET
Input for ASP.Net will release after the first of the year. This is a product we’ve licensed from our Japanese partner, GrapeCity. It and its Windows Forms counterpart are the two of the three best selling components in Japan. We’re happy to report that Spread is the other one. These are some very nice web components and we encourage you to give them a try. 

We have also been hard at work on a set of input components for Silverlight. We plan to get those into beta after the first of the year.

What’s that you say? Where’s Spread for Silverlight and Spread for WPF? It’s part of the 2009 roadmap as well. Keep an eye out for the beta announcement in these newsletters and on the web site as well.
