CommView for WiFi 6.1 and CommView Remote Agent for WiFi 2.3 Released =====================================================================
We are pleased to announce that we have released new versions of our wireless 802.11 monitoring products, CommView for WiFi and CommView Remote Agent for WiFi.
What's New in CommView for WiFi 6.1:
* New operating systems supported: Windows XP 64-bit Edition, Windows Vista 64-bit Edition, Windows Server 2008 32-bit and 64-bit Editions.
* Decreased RAM utilization in the VoIP analysis module. The new version can handle more simultaneous calls using less RAM.
* Adjustable jitter buffer for realistic simulation of real-live VoIP phone sound quality.
* Improved "Find" dialog: Search direction and Unicode search (UTF-8, UTF-
16) are now supported.
* Noise level is now displayed on the "Channels" tab.
* More flexible decoder tree options: You can now set the number of nodes to be expanded.
* Many other improvements and bug fixes.
CommView Remote Agent for WiFi 2.3 was also updated to support Windows XP 64-bit Edition, Windows Vista 64-bit Edition, and Windows Server 32-bit and 64-bit Editions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SUPPORTED HARDWARE:
* These new releases are the last versions to support old 802.11b-only adapters. We no longer include old 802.11b drivers in the products, although if such a driver is already installed on your system, our products will work with it. The next versions will neither include such drivers nor support previously installed ones. Please consider upgrading your adapter to a newer 802.11 b/g, a/b/g, or b/g/n model.
* Using CommView for WiFi or CommView Remote Agent for WiFi under a 64-bit Windows version requires a supported Atheros-based adapter. Currently we don't support Intel adapters under 64-bit operating systems.
