Upgrade Instructions
EMS SQL Management Studio for SQL Server is sold under EMS Software Maintenance program (http://sqlmanager.net/support/faq/maintenance). As the owner of valid Maintenance contract you are entitled to receive all Studio components updates and upgrades for free until your Maintenance expires.
You can get the new Studio version of Data Generator for SQL Server for free by updating your copy of SQL Studio through SQL Studio Direct service (Navigate/SQL Studio Direct main menu item).
You can check your Maintenance expiration date in the About dialog box of your EMS software (Help/About) or at the "My Products" section at your SQLManager.net account.
Please mind that software maintenance for eligible products may be renewed via your personalized SQLManager.net account (http://www.sqlmanager.net/en/support/faq/maintenance#2677).
There is no deadline to renew or reinitiate Maintenance. However, it is beneficial for you to renew it before the expiration date or as soon as possible after the old contract has expired because Maintenance period can not be interrupted. This means that your current Maintenance period expiration date will be set as the starting date for the renewed Maintenance term.

1.     Unicode support is implemented.
2.     Added new options for data generation to SQL script:
- BLOBs and arrays are dumped into to a separate file (for IB/FB);
- SQL script can be appended to an existing file;
- the ability to view/edit the script.
3.     Added the possibility to select the data insertion type: INSERT, UPDATE OR INSERT (for Firebird), MERGE (for Firebird and Oracle).
4.     Added options allowing you to disable triggers associated with tables during data generation (for IB/FB, SQL Server, Oracle).
5.     Added options for generating the same data into several columns.
6.     Added options for generating string data according to the sample text.
7.     Data preview is implemented.
8.     Added options for generating data into dependent fields with the relation 1:n (n records will be generated into the dependent table field for each record of the primary table).
9.     Implemented data generation into fields of user-defined types (for DB2, PostgreSQL).
10.  Implemented data generation into fields of domain-based types (for IB/FB).
11.  Implemented data generation into fields of the GEOMETRY type (for MySQL).
