Telerik Announces Milestone Q1 2008 Release

We are happy to announce the landmark release of Telerik's RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (formerly "Prometheus"), RadControls for WinForms, and Telerik Reporting. Q1 2008 is a testimony to our goal of providing a comprehensive toolset of next-generation web and desktop components.

The highlight of this release is the official introduction of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX suite, which drops its beta tag and "Prometheus" codename to become the industry standard for web components. The product, which was first unveiled back in April 2007, is built entirely on top of ASP.NET AJAX, leveraging completely the power and flexibility of the new Microsoft web framework. Featuring over 20 controls for use with ASP.NET 2.0/3.5, RadControls is the most comprehensive toolset for building richer and more responsive web applications.

Here are the other major highlights of the Q1 2008 release by product line:

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX

Unmatched performance due to new common AJAX-based architecture

RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX Implemented in MSDN and TechNet Libraries

Now you can see our superfast RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX in action in the real world! Microsoft has implemented the Telerik control as the Wiki Annotation Editor across the MSDN and TechNet libraries. RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX is now also the custom inline editor for Community Content to provide great WYSIWYG editing experience.

WPF and Silverlight Controls Promo Announced
