Free Webcast: How to Achieve
Concurrency and High Performance in a SOA Brought to you by Intel &
Rogue Wave Software
Undoubtedly,
SOA allows for significant flexibility; however, with the change in
microchips to multi-core, new levels of concurrency are required. Software
Pipelines is a methodology that defines rules for designing business
processes to achieve maximum concurrency, and thereby maximum performance
of SOA-based applications. Learn the fundamentals of this methodology and
how to apply them to achieve dramatic business and technological benefits.
In
addition, learn what new Intel tools and methods are available that will
enable you to easily introduce scalable multithreading to your software,
and how these methods complement Software Pipelines.
Key Topics:
- Software
Pipelines basic methodology
- Achieving
concurrency
a. Maintaining order of integrity
b. Working with single-threaded processes

SourcePro¢ç C++ Daylight Saving Times
(DST) Enhancement
Are You Using RWTime, RWDateTime, or
RWDBDateTime? If so, Learn More About Important DST Changes
Starting
March 11, 2007, Daylight Saving Time will be extended another four to five
weeks, from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November.
This change might impact you if you are currently using SourcePro C++ (or
.h++) date and time calculation classes (RWTime, RWDateTime, or
RWDBDateTime). By default, these classes use Daylight Savings Time rules
defined in the SourcePro Essential Tools Module. Unless these DST rules get
updated, time calculations will return incorrect results in 2007 and
subsequent years, since times will be stored and manipulated based on the
dates for DST start and end that were valid prior to the rule change. To
find out more about how your version of SourcePro C++ and/or .h++ may be
impacted, please contact your local
sales rep.
