Add the power of a spreadsheet to any .NET application. The all new ComponentOne Spread Studio 8 focuses on improving performance and enhancing user experience. New features include a modern Excel 2013-like skin, a powerful new table feature and MultiRow enhancements in WinForms, updated browser and touch support in ASP.NET, and print support in WPF, Silverlight, and WinRT.
Here's a preview of all the great new features in Spread Studio 8:
- Modern Excel 2013-like Skins
In this release, we've changed the default appearance of the control to a flat style, removed any stylistic choices that give the illusion of 3D (such as drop shadows, gradients) and focused on a minimalist use of simple elements, typography and flat colors. It’s pure and simple, elegant and neat. We've also provided an Excel 2013-like skin, a new tab strip layout, new header color scheme, selection, and more.
- Powerful Table Feature
The new table in Spread for WinForms is used to manage and analyze related data, sort, filter, and format data within a sheet. By using table features, you can manage data in table rows and columns independently from data in other rows and columns in the worksheet. We also support importing and exporting tables to and from Excel files.
- MultiRow Enhancements
MultiRow for WinForms allows you to add custom tabular input and display screens to your Visual Studio apps. We've enhanced the WinForms MultiRow component a great deal in this release, with multi-touch support, a variety of CellTypes enhancements, layout enhancements, and Designer enhancements to help you add comprehensive grids to your apps easily.
- Modern Browser and Touch Support
Spread for ASP.NET now supports all modern browsers including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. We've also added iPad touch support so you can easily select, scroll, zoom, and edit with simple finger gestures on an iPad.
- Updated Print Support
You can print entire or partial worksheets and workbooks, one at a time, or several at once in WPF, Silverlight, and WinRT. Just like Excel, Spread Studio 8 includes several print settings like page order, orientation, and size and you can specify alignment, margins, whether to show a print header, gridlines, scale to fit page, page header/footer, whether to print to a file, and more.
We've also added a brand-new Excel-like reference application to Spread for WinForms, improved memory usage, improved Excel import speed, added structured reference support in Spread for WPF, Silverlight, and WinRT, and more!
